North West based specialist funding provider PMJ Capital continues to expand its team with the appointment of Damian Ainsley as Investment Director.
Damian, who joins the Bolton-based funding provider from Tatton Investment Management, will be working with investment advisors to secure private market investment opportunities in the property sector for high-net worth individuals across the country.
PMJ, provides property funding loans for SME developers and entrepreneurs with facilities from £26,000 to £2m. The investment arm will enable high net worth individuals to enjoy high yield investments through a range of options.
PMJ Capital was established in 2014, to provide short term property finance for SME developers. It is led by a team of professionals including chairman Mike Wright and managing director David Rainford. Damian’s appointment comes just weeks after Keiran Holmes also joined the team as relationship manager, bringing to total headcount in the team to 8.
Commenting on joining PMJ Capital Damian said: “I’m really proud to be joining the business at a time of huge growth and to be given the opportunity to develop a more defined investment structure for the business.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for private investors, and their intermediaries, to access an area of property investment that has historically been dominated by banks and institutional investors. Most exciting of all, it enables investors to complement their existing investment portfolio by achieving higher than inflation rates of return, in a secure, consistent and repeatable way, forgoing the volatility and uncertainty many have experienced in the stock market in recent years.”
PMJ Capital managing director David Rainford added: “Traditionally our investment has come from a trusted circle of close contacts but with Damian’s appointment and the expansion of the team we are broadening that through our growing network to include financial advisors, intermediaries and wealth managers right across the UK.
“Damian brings a significant level of insight and knowledge of the alternative investment market and will enable PMJ to work with more SME developers in providing funding options for residential development.”
Since its inception in 2014 PMJ Capital has loaned over £100m to property developers and currently has a loan book value of £73m with a further £22m in the pipeline.
